Volunteer Opportunities

First Baptist Church of Joelton offers many ways to volunteer in the community. If you are interested in any of these opportunities, you can find contact information on their website.

Quilting Volunteers Needed - We are looking for anyone of any age interested in helping make a quilt for a wounded soldier at Ft. Campbell. No experience is necessary. Each piece will be a 12 X 12 inch block of red, white and blue.

Pen Pal Ministry - We have been gathering information on all of our members who are currently serving in the military, specifically those who have been deployed overseas or are serving and/or in training away from home. We are also gathering mailing addresses of our students who are away at college. The purpose of gathering this information is so that we can stay in touch with and encourage these Christian brothers and sisters through letters, cards and care packages. If you would like to submit a name and address to be added to the list, or if you would like to receive a list of the addresses so that you can send cards and letters, please contact the church office at 876-0527.

Rescue Mission - Join this ministry as they lead monthly worship services at the Rescue Mission. Men's Mission service is held every third Monday of the month. Women's Mission service is held every fourth Monday.

Amateur Radio Operators - When a natural disaster strikes, FBCJ is a place to turn to for help. We have been designated as an official site for relief by the Red Cross. We are seeking amateur radio operators to volunteer their time in the event of a disaster.

Shut-in Meals - Prepare and/or deliver meals to the church's shut-ins on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week.

Prison Ministry - Join this team as they lead weekly Bible studies, distribute care packages, and minister in our local prisons. Contact Pastor David Royalty for more information.
