Run-A-Muck Outfitters

Run-A-Muck Outfitters is a new canoe rental company in Sango (10 minutes north of Pleasant View) that is managed by 2 of my friends - Jason and Jessi Pennington.

They offer a 4 hour float from Adams, TN to Port Royal State Park each weekend.  Their prices are reasonable, the rides are great, and they have a lot of fun!

This would be a great family outing, a great scouting adventure, or a great daytrip for friends.  The rapids are only class one, so it's definitely a family-friendly outing.

Their regular business hours are Saturday and Sundays 8am - 3pm.  They can also accomodate weekday trips, if you register in advance.

Visit their website at www.runamuckoutfitters.com or look them up on facebook.

Norwood Jewelers

I went to Norwood Jewelers in Ashland City to get my hubby's watch fixed.  I left with great advice on the watch, as well as a shiny wedding ring.  If you're in the market for new jewelry, if you need jewelry repaired, or if you need an appraisal on your jewelry, I recommend Norwoods.  They've been in Ashland City for 22 years, they're friendly, and they do good work.

They don't have a website, but you can reach owner Dean Norwood at 792-5107.

They are located at 606 N. Main Street on the west end of downtown Ashland City, just past the hospital.

Stone Bridge Books, Gifts & Music

My daughter and I went to Stone Bridge Books, Gifts & Music this morning.  I always like looking at their gift section and their large selection of used books (including lots of homeschooling materials!).  They also carry many new books, including beautiful picture books for children.  But today I enjoyed their new music section.  They sell guitars and guitar accessories.  They also provide music lessons.  What a great local resource for us to use!
