Norwood Jewelers

I went to Norwood Jewelers in Ashland City to get my hubby's watch fixed.  I left with great advice on the watch, as well as a shiny wedding ring.  If you're in the market for new jewelry, if you need jewelry repaired, or if you need an appraisal on your jewelry, I recommend Norwoods.  They've been in Ashland City for 22 years, they're friendly, and they do good work.

They don't have a website, but you can reach owner Dean Norwood at 792-5107.

They are located at 606 N. Main Street on the west end of downtown Ashland City, just past the hospital.

Baby Signs by Sara

Sarah Sanford is a speech-language pathologist, wife, mother of two, and music minister. Sarah has been using sign language in one way or another since her teenage years when she learned to sign to music at camp one summer. She used signs with both of her own children and has used it with both hearing and deaf students she works with in the school system. Sarah feels very blessed to have this opportunity to share Baby Signs with her community and help parents learn to understand their babies.

Parent workshops will be held at Hot Potato Kids on Jan 22 & 29, 2011. Each workshop duration is 90 minutes. $20 fee for one parent, $30 fee for couples. Reserve your spot by calling or send an e-mail at least two days before class time.

"Pleasant Views of Cheatham County" - upcoming art show

There will be a photography and painting exhibit opening in November in Pleasant View.  It features landscapes, historic homes and architectural landmarks of Cheatham County. They are featuring the photography works of Kevin Rogers, Ashley Gilbert and Tom Salter, and others.

This beautiful rural area provides a wonderful backdrop for the many stories and rich history that is a staple of Tennessee. The town squares, rolling farm lands and small communities bring to mind a simpler time when life was less stressful, neighbors waved as they passed on the road, parades and baseball games. Cheatham County is a community driven area surrounded by nature at it’s finest.
The Opening Reception is Saturday, November 13th, 12:00pm to 6:00pm at Main Street Arts (2600 Church Street)

Need Tires?

I just went to Pleasant View Tire Shop to have my tires rotated and balanced.  They were so friendly to me & my children - they actually let us stay in the van watching Wallie while they worked on the tires!

They were quick and fairly priced - we'll definitely use them again.  So if you need work on your tires, visit them next to City Hall in Pleasant View - 6301 Highway 41a.  Their phone # is (615) 746-0058
